An April Full Of News & a Freebie!

An update is over due, and I wanted to start by mentioning I have split the mailer feeds in to 3 parts, meaning that from now on, if I set things up properly, you will be receiving our feeds directly now, instead of the feeds being mixed together. I believe Google was misinterpreting our mailer and sending it either to spam, or with a warning at the top. So from here forward, and ONLY when there has been something new posted on any of the 3, the store feed will go out at 7 AM, the store blog at 11 AM, and the My Daily Agenda blog on WordPress, at 5 PM. I will be posting store news and new products from the stores feeds, and articles and helpful items on the WordPress dot com blog.

I hope I am finding everyone still in the best of health. What a bad trip this crazy virus ride is, I never could handle carnival rides very well, vertigo and all. During all of this we all have to find new ways to change our daily routines, and for many it means new ways to make a living, or at least supplement our incomes.

Some time at the beginning of the year, I mentioned in one of my posts or newsletters, that I was planning to go back to some of my roots. It didn’t mean I was going to abandon my art and graphics, but rather take them into a new direction, and incorporating much of it into planners, journals and coloring books.  Another part of my past was marketing, publishing and promotion. Altho I was an entertainer, and worked in the music and entertainment business for most of my life, even owning a fashion line and resale boutique in Los Angeles, when I finally began working on the internet in 1995 (it was very different then) I did everything from write articles and ebooks on the industry, fashion and the vintage resale market, deal in auctions on ebay, marketing in the resale rights industry (a dirty business to the faint of heart lol) and I even sold webhosting which was how I made most of my living from 1995 through 2013. Then I finally got hooked on creating art and graphics. I had won a scholarship for art when I was a teenager, but I had already experienced playing music, and between that, and wanting to explore the world on my own, I left home at 17 to do just that.

Back to 1995, I also began designing, and building websites and social networks, nothing like Facebook, just a series of small groups of social networks of like minded people. In those days forums and social networks were all the rage, and now that Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have taken over most things, that comradery and closeness is no longer there. Regardless, getting to the point. I want to do something to help all my friends and followers survive these crazy times. Of course I can’t do anything to physically help anyone, but I can start passing along some of the info I have bought and accumilated over the years to help anyone else learn some new things, possibly a new business venture, not to mention new products and freebies to help with your everyday lives.

What might you find here in the near future:

Ebooks and course for: Auctions, crafting, sewing, complete starter websites such as Pet Grooming, Jewelry Making, Beauty, Yoga, Cookbooks, Spiritual Guides, there is too much to even remember at this point. Lots of these things will end up being freebies too. If you are reading this on the website and not in our mailer, please consider joining our mailing list for updates, new products and lots of great info and freebies you can use in your everyday day life.

Here is a freebie to start you off. You have full Master Resale Rights to this product. Please read the license inside and follow the rules, to sell this product on your own website, or Etsy etc. Download >>  AttractGetWhatWant

So with that said, I have started by adding 2 new categories of products to the new Color My Agenda store. As the days and weeks roll by, I will be sorting and adding a lot of great info, in the form of ebooks, audio and video presentations, graphic packs, planners and more, but the best part is, I have added a Low Priced Bargain area, generally priced around 1 dollar. There is also a new Commercial Resale Rights category, where I will be adding lots of packages you can resell, some of which you can place your name on and resell as your own. There will also be planners and other items like coloring books that will have built in Resale licenses in the near future.

Be sure to check out the store today as there is a half price sale going on right now, even new items are half off. With that said, I will be off and send this away, as it is now 2:16 in the morning in the East, and if things go right, subscribers should be receiving this at 11 AM. If you are on my DigiScrapCafe email list, you may receive this as a newsletter in a day or 2.

Till next, stay safe and healthy!

Teaching Classes Online

Hello my friends,
Today I have a little freebie for you I made up due to having several teachers as friends.
I had been hearing a few mention concerns about how they were going to conduct their classes online, afraid their students would just tune them out etc. While I don’t know if that is true, and I suppose it depends on the teacher themselves, I can not help with the teaching aspect, although I may be able to provide some tips to those of you who have no idea where to start.

While many of you do not have the tools for things like group chat, or on screen chat, there are some ways you can create lessons, lectures, or other forms of lessons for free online. One of those being Podcasts. There are several services online that will allow you to create podcasts, some even provide a webpage for you to invite listeners to interact with the podcast through live chat. Try searching google for “create a free podcast”.

Other ways of course, are the use of PDF’s, essentially these are digital books. They can be read online, or downloaded to your pc, and read, or printed out into a physical book or binder. Most of these tools are already in your computer as standard tools. Powerpoint where you can create numberous charts and presentations, and Adobe Reader to create PDF’s for your students to download and print. You really don’t need much more, even if you are an artist, as Powerpoint has pretty much everything you need. No fancy expensive graphic or art program needed.

As far as handing in homework assignments etc… the freebie I have included, has forms for email addresses, website addresses and passwords, to-do lists, and a few more for you to use, and you can always think up your own. Finished assignments can be emailed as PDF’s, text or wordpad items, containing each students completed assignments. There would be no excuse for not knowing where to email it as I have provided forms for them to fill out with the given info. Just print it out or save it to your desktop and it’s always there. Also, another suggestion is for you, as the teacher, to save the PDF I am providing as JPGS (you can convert them at https://www.online-convert.com if you need to, and add the jpgs to a Powerpoint file, type in the pertinant addresses, websites, and email addresses they need, turn that into another printable PDF, and wallah, they don’t even have to write those in themselves, you have provided it for them.

I could even suggest creating a free forum as a gathering place for teachers and students. One that comes to mind is forumotion.com (do NOT pay for it if you plan to make it temporary or secondary, there is no need, it is full featured enough as free, and by law they provide a secure SSL lock to make the forum secure)

I am sure many of you already know or have thought of on your own, some of the suggestions I have made, but I was surprised at the amount of educators I knew that seemed lost as to how to proceed now. Good luck to all of you, and if I can provide any further tips, I will, and please don’t hesitate to ask me questions also!

Here is your gift.
